Three Civil Service aspirants died after the basement of a coaching centre was flooded on Saturday evening following heavy rain in central Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar area. Rescuers pulled out the bodies from the basement, identified as Shreya Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni from Telangana, and Nevin Dalvin from Kerala.

The incident led to massive anger among aspirants and students of Rau’s coaching centre and other institutes held a protest and raised slogans against authorities outside the coaching centre over the deaths.

Families of the victims accused the institute of negligence and also alleged that they were not allowed to see the bodies of the victims at the hospital.
